ABOUT CLIENT: The department of Chemical Engineering at an
eminent Energy Institute in Abu Dhabi invites applications for a postdoctoral
position (Research Associate) in the field of electromagnetic separation.
JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
- · Plays a major role in interdisciplinary research and collaborate actively in joint research projects through the Institute's standing agreements with partner universities.
- · Designs, builds and tests electromagnetic-driven separation setups for the removal of contaminants from aqueous solutions.
- · The scope of work is on the field of contaminants removal from aqueous solutions using electro-mechanical forces.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- · Good knowledge of and research experience in electromagnetic separation.
- · Experience in lab management and student guidance.
- · Good understanding of safety requirement with toxic gases.
- · A good track record of research publications

Research Associate - Adsorber Modeling

ABOUT CLIENT:
An eminent & prestigious institute in Abu Dhabi is
inviting applications for postdoctoral position (Research Associate) in the
area of packed bed adsorption modeling and simulation.
JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
- · The successful candidate will utilize the adsorption isotherms and kinetics generated using the advanced gravimetric adsorption facility, to design a packed bed adsorber for multi-component adsorption.
- · He/ She will also be responsible for supervising some graduate students in the area of adsorption modeling and simulation.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- · Good knowledge on porous material.
- · Research background in adsorption science and engineering, with strong evidence of work on theoretical and modeling aspects.
- · Use of simulation software's similar to Aspen ADSIM, with ability to incorporate user defined subroutines.
- · A scientific maturity which enables the candidate to participate in the supervision undergraduate and graduate students working on research.
- · Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- · Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- · A good track record of research publications.
